April has been very rainy & dreary. Not sure if it is because of the weather but we haven't done a whole lot this month.
We still haven't left Dylan overnight yet but in mid April he did stay with my sister while Ryan & I had a night out! We went out to celebrate our friends Keri & Alli's bdays. Ryan has continued to work non stop this month so it was great to have a few hours to go & hang out with our friends.
Dylan had his 1st visit to the zoo this month! Of course he didn't know any difference & slept almost the whole time :) It was nice to get him out in the fresh air & nice for me to do all that walking. Walking the zoo is a great workout!!! I bought a membership for the year so I plan on going as much as possible.
I cant get over how amazing my sister is with Dylan. He is so comfortable with her and she just adores him. My sister & I have gotten ALOT closer these past few months because of him :) I am so glad she has made the decision to go to U of L next semester ( instead of going back to UK). Dylan & I would miss her way too much if she were in Lexington!!
Dylan got to celebrate his First Easter & Celebrate 3months old all in the same day. He was very lucky & got 3 Easter baskets....one from each Grandma & of course from Ryan & I. He got clothes, PJ's formula, sippy cups, feeding bowl, Best of Sesame Street DVD & the movie Tangled. I will admit I may have been much more excited about the movies than he was LOL. ( p.s. Tangled is an adorable movie).
My favorite thing he got was his I LOVE ST JUDE bib. The Easter Bunny even brought Ryan & I St Jude t shirts. Our dear friends Mike & Amanda Nobles are currently staying at St Judes with their 15 month old daughter Hayli. We love them so much & want to help support St Judes in any way possible. We pray for Hayli each & everyday & cannot wait for them to be able to come home.
We Spent Easter meeting my Mom & cousin Kim for lunch at Cracker Barrel. Unfortunately my Dad was sick & my sister was out of town. We had a great lunch. Its always fun taking him out in LaGrange. Since I have worked at Hometown for so long I have gotten to know lots of people who live in Oldham County. We almost always run into customers & friends who are very anxious to see him & Easter was no exception!
We spent Easter night at Aunt Barbara's house. We had a great time eating good food & visiting with everyone. I can tell Briahna is going to be a great cousin & friend to Dylan :) She loved helping to feed & play with him. Everyone took turns holding, loving & playing with him. We had a great 1st Easter.
Dylan's newest thing is sticking his tongue out. He constantly sticks it in & out..it is very cute. He also has become a lot more vocal. He coo's alot more & LOVES playing on his activity mat. He kicks his legs like crazy while he lays & trys to reach for the toys on the mat. He is so STRONG. I think it is only a matter of time before he starts rolling over from back to belly. He has come so close so many times.
Dylan is such a good baby. He for the most part is very content & laid back. He is a very happy little boy. He does tend to get fussy sometimes around people he doesn't know very well but I'm sure that is with most babies. He definitely has his preference for Mommy & Daddy. I love that he recognizes our voices & faces. I have to admit I hope he will be a Mommy's boy
Quick update on my health: I recently decided to switch my primary doctor & couldnt be happier. She is amazing! My 1st visit with her she went over all of my hospital records and decided to do a bunch of lab work on me. She tested my Cholesterol, Potassium, Thyroid, Platelets, Kidney, Red Blood Cell count, Liver & white Blood count.....Everything came back normal except my white blood count. It was just barely over the normal range and was no need to worry. She is keeping me on Blood pressure meds & a water pill. She is confident that within 6 months my bloood pressure will be back to normal. I hope she is right. I have a follow up with her in a week. Im still working on losing the rest of the baby weight. My weight has pretty much been at a stand still, I have only lost a few pounds since my Dr released me to start working out. I just keep telling my self it takes time & I just hope to be back to my pre pregnancy shape by August for my 30th bday.
