Pumpkin Picking & Halloween 2014

It has become a fun tradition of visiting Gallrein Farms each year to pick pumpkins. I love seeing how much Dylan has grown each year.

 

Dylan LOVES to dress up, so Halloween he dressed up as many characters! Super Heroes are a favorite in our house!

It was a cold Halloween. So we invited a few friends over & went "trick or treating" down our hallway. The kids LOVED it!!!

Ryan & and I went to a our friends house for a costume party.

 

 A few nights after later, we had a bad storm, which turned into a Tornado warning. Ryan was at work. The sirens were really scaring Dylan. We were so thankful for our AWESOME neighbors who let us hang out in their basement! It was Dylan's first tornado. Being able to be in a safe space with friends really helped calm him.  

Parties, Planes, Parades & Ponies 2014

I have worked for Hometown Pizza a total of 18 years! Hometown will always hold a special place I my heart. My mom has worked there for 28 years, so Hometown has been apart of most of my life. It helped support me growing up & now helps my family. I was so excited to not only plan, but be apart of the a celebration for all of Hometown's 10 year or more employees. We  had a great time with a baseball themed cookout in the park.

 We also participated in the Tobacco Festival Parade with a "There's No Place Like Hometown" theme. Then I pulled a plane for Special Olympics! I am so happy to call these events work! So much fun!

We spent the afternoon at Uncle Jamie's house. Dylan was super excited to ride a horse for the first time!

2014 Heart Walk

My cousin Kimberly passed away June 10th 2013 due to heart  problems at the young age of 24. It was sudden & has been very hard for my entire family. We all miss her so much. We decided to make it a tradition to honor her every year by participating in the Heart Walk. We had a great day with family, sharing memories of Kim & raising awareness for the American Heart Association.

Ft Walton Vacation September 2014

We took our first "real" family vacation in September. The weather was PERFECT! I say "first",  because every trip we've taken as a family has been very short & because of other events ( wedding, birthday,  U of L game...). We stayed at a nice condo that several of our friends had stayed at and loved.  We started our vacation at the UL game and headed towards FL afterwards.  It worked out nice because Dylan slept most of the drive. Once we got settled into our room, we spent the next 6 days relaxing by the pool, watching movies and just enjoying each other. It was so nice to not have a million places to go & that we could simply sit around & do nothing! Dylan LOVED his "Florida home". He met a cute little boy his age at the pool & had a great time playing with him every time we saw him. For the first time, Dylan was comfortable in the water & even let Ryan teach him to put his face under water. Here are some of my favorite pictures to summarize our trip. We already have decided to go back next year!

Hometown Pizza Photo Shoot

Dylan was in a photo shoot for Hometown Pizza! He started off not wanting his picture taken, but as you can see he warmed up to the camera! Here are the 2 shots that made the cut. They will be used for various promotional uses.
